Name:Tenpou Gensui aka, Field Marshal Tenpou

Fandom: Saiyuki Gaiden

Desired Position: Not too sure about this one. Librarian/ Archivist/ War strategist? Depends on the number of people.



Personality: Tenpou presents a normal, unassuming facade to the people around him, always smiling and trying as hard as he could not to stand out so that he could pull his strings in his background. He gets along well enough with his men in the army, but few really know him as more than an acquaintance.



He reads a lot, and finds humans fascinating, their ability to change and adapt really something different from the stifling changelessness of Tenkai/Heaven. War interests him, him finding it a perfect representation of the human race.



However, as stated, few know him more than what he allows them to know. That means that when people do hurt the ones that he genuinely cares about, he loses his temper fast. Other than that, he is willing to wait and play games. However, he is well known as being a stubborn ass about things that he wants done. He also frequently throws himself into the line of fire just so that the men working under him are safe, with not much thought about his own safety.



Marshal Tenpou and General Kenren have a very somewhat cannon relationship.



Talents: He reads a lot, from war accounts to children's manga. As a result, he's pretty much a walking library and knows how to apply that knowledge. Centuries/ Millennia? of being in the army has kept him in very good shape as well. Should there be any need to take up arms, be it against a natural monster or rival factions, he would be your man/immortal/ marshal.



History: As said, him and General Kenren are in a very well known rumoured relationship, but nothing has been confirmed by the two. I consider it cannon though.



He is also technically an immortal, but can be killed. However, the difference between humans and immortals are vast, superior strength being one as well as being able to move almost faster than what the human eye can see when they want to. Add years of being in an army trained to take down powerful beasts and pretty much no one can stop him, no one human that is. However, immortals are barred from killing, they just tranquillize the hell out of whatever they are fighting. For all his perfect military records, he does not look the part of a fighter, with many people commenting that he is almost too pretty to be a soldier.



Carrying: I think he would be coming back from a battle, so that means the black leather uniform, carrying his tranquillizer gun and katana. Maybe a pack of cigarettes and a lighter as well.

Tenpou watched the trees sway, closing his eyes for a moment. He rested his head against his general's chest, saying nothing as the breeze started to pick up. Thankfully, he had commanded the rest of the men to report back to Tenkai for a debriefing by some other hapless soldier he picked out at random. He enjoyed these few moments he had with Kenren, with no one to see or judge them.



The fighting had been tough this time around, and he was sure that he was bleeding from a few places. They were standing with their arms around each other, guns and katanas safely sheathed in their proper places. He looked up when Kenren brushed the blood matted hair out from his face. "I guess we have to go now, before Commander Goujun throws a hissy fit or something"



The marshal nodded, still not letting go of Kenren as they slowly phased away back to his library cum quarters. He kept his eyes closed, waiting to feel the same still dull air of Tenkai start to surround his senses. Kenren seemed to feel different all hard and... somewhat scratchy. What?



He opened his eyes to find out that he was hugging a tree. What just happened?!

I wish that Kenren would just get back from whatever subjugation he is on. I would never admit it, but I miss him.

Konzen is busy taking care of his new charge and I don't think Goujun is back from his annual  visit to his family. I don't think he would like me disturbing him with minutiae about his job. His children are nice, well trained and obedient. It would be a few centuries until they start developing the power greed for the throne of their father.

Maybe I will disturb Konzen. Ask him about Gokuu, anything is better than this... existing with nothing to neither do nor see. I even did all my paperwork, but I didn't clean the place up, that job can wait until Kenren is here.

OOC translation.
I am bored, I hope someone take the position of Kenren or Goujun soon. I'm not that sure about interacting with Konzen or Gokuu yet. ^^
